In one of her poems, Mary Oliver offers the following instructions for living a life: Pay Attention. Be Astonished. Write about it.
When it comes to life there is so much to pay attention to, and interestingly enough there's such a wide variety of things to be astonished by that we can't help thinking it will be fun to try keeping track of some of them here. It seems like as good a reason as any for starting a blog.
But we're hoping that maybe this can be as much of a dialogue as a monologue and that it will be a place for discovering what astonishes and delights other people who are in the habit of paying attention to life.
